Dying Easter eggs is a super fun science activity! Children will be working on so many skills when they are coloring eggs.
A wonderful skill they will be working on is color recognition while they are coloring their eggs. Be sure to talk with them about what color they are putting their egg into. If the children take their egg out of one color and put it into another color talk with them about what color they think it will change to and what they think it will look like when they take it out.
If you would like to do more on color recognition here is a great video you can use!
While they are doing this they will also be working on their fine motor skills when picking up the eggs with their hands or a spoon. When children are using their fine motor skills they are strengthening the muscles in their hands for holding writing utensils, and coloring or writing with them.
Take it a step further and teach the children how to hop like a bunny by using my Children’s Exercise/Hopping Video. Hopping is a great large motor skill and helps your child work on balancing and coordinating their body.
