Today we are going to talk about different types of apple. You can talk about how there are over 7000 different types of apples grown worldwide. Also, let the children know that the apple is one of the oldest fruits in the world. Encourage children to think about how many different types they have tried. You can have the children look at different photos and make observations of what is similar and different between the different types of apples. I think this website Fresh For Kids has some great apple information and pictures on it. If you’d like to take a look at it and add it to your lesson you could do that.

Children learn about the letters in this part of the Online Preschool. Click here to learn how to lead this activity. A different letter is featured each class, and Miss Cullen teaches about upper and lower case, how to make the sound of the letters and will also show, taste and describe foods that begin with that letter. (It is only optional to have and taste the foods.)
Learn about the letter B with Miss Cullen and Gator. First, Miss Cullen and Gator are going to show the upper and lower case letter B. Then review the sound of the B. Next look at three types of food that start with the letter B: broccoli, beef and basil. If you have these items at home you can try them with Miss Cullen and discuss what it feels like, tastes like, sounds like and smells like. How to introduce the Bible Story
If you’d like to make this an extra special time you can gather together with blankets, pillows, and even light or turn on a candle (making sure to blow it out when finished). Depending on how many children you have you could have one be responsible for getting the pillows, one responsible for helping you to light the candle, and one responsible to blow out the candle. You can change the jobs between the children each week.
You have done so through the Memory Verse Coloring Sheet and the Song. You can say: “Today we are learning about the beautiful world that God made. We are going to learn about a man named Adam and learn what his jobs are. And we are going to learn about someone else that God made for Adam. God loved Adam and Eve, just like he loves you.”

Adam and Eve
God saw all that he had made and he loved it. Then God made a man named Adam. Adam loved his new home. His job was to name all the animals and care for the garden. Adam loved all the animals, but he could not find a friend that was just right for him.
So God created a woman. Adam named her Eve. God loved them more than anything else. He was like a new dad and loved them with all of his heart. And they were lovely because he loved them. Their hearts were filled with happiness. And nothing ever made them sad or lonely or sick or afraid.
God made a wonderful garden for them to live in. Adam and Eve were happy in their perfect new home and took care of God’s garden together. They had everything they needed and plenty of delicious food to eat. They could eat the fruit from every tree in the garden except for one. God loves you too!
Bible Story Questions & Answers
Talk about what the Bible story was about by asking the children questions. You can decide ahead of time how you want them to answer the questions. I like to have the children raise their hand to answer the question. If they are incorrect that is fine. You can say what the answer is or ask: “Does anyone else have a thought or answer to the question?”
- What were the names of the two people that God made? (Adam and Eve)
- What did God ask Adam to name? (The animals)
- Where did Adam and Eve live? (In the garden)
- Who made the garden for Adam, Eve and the animals to live in? (God)
- Were there good things for Adam and Eve to eat? (Yes)
- Did God love Adam and Eve? (Yes)
- Does God love you? (Yes)
Prayer
While sitting on the floor with criss cross legs, have the children repeat after you. You can have them fold their hands and close their eyes or just sit quietly and say after you. Following is a prayer written out that you can use, or you can make up your own.
Dear God (children repeat)
Thank you for this day (children repeat)
Thank you for loving me (children repeat)
Just like you loved Adam and Eve (children repeat)
Thank you for loving me (children repeat)
I love you (children repeat)
Amen. (children repeat)

Watch this apple prints video to find out what you will need for this art project. Make sure you cut the apple in half through its side instead of cutting it where the steam is. When you cut it in half through the side; you will be able to make star prints with the apple. Once the apple is cut in half take out the seeds. Next, have your children dip the apple into the paint and use like stamps on a piece of construction paper. Make sure the paint is in a shallow dish and that there is not a lot of paint in the dish or else it will be pretty gloppy when they press the apple on the paper and you won’t be able to see the star print.
