Math & Counting: Math and Number Awareness involves a variety of skills: numeral identification, counting, one-to-one correspondence, pattern recognition, and sorting. These concepts set the foundation for learning more advanced math concepts and reading.
Language: What children know about communication and language (verbal and nonverbal). Reading and writing before they can actually read and write.
Physical: Physical growth and development of both gross and fine motor control of the body.
Cognitive: The construction of thought processes including remembering, problem solving and decision making.
Emotion: Understanding and properly controlling one’s emotions (internal)
Social: Interaction with people (external)
