For art today have the children wrap a present from the wrapping paper they made on day one. If you are at home this is a great way for your children to get involved in wrapping presents. You can choose who your child will wrap a present for or have your child choose. It could be a sibling, parents, or a cousin. If you are in the classroom you can have the children wrap a present they made for their Mom and Dad earlier in the week.
Have out their wrapping paper and the present they are going to wrap it in. You may want to have them help you measure and cut the paper if it’s too big. It will be good to have it bigger than you would use just so they have room to work. You may need to help them a bit or give them some tips as to how to wrap it. Have a tape dispenser out for them to get the tape they need. You can also pre-cut the tape and put it on the edge of the table so that it’s easier for them to pick up when they need it. When they are finished wrapping you can have some ribbon for them to cut and stick on their package.
Remember this is all about the process they go through. It doesn’t matter what the package looks like in the end. Encourage them to wrap up the ends of the package so that nothing falls out.

This is a fun way for you and your children to be on the computer together and create something very unique for your family. You can put in many words that describe a person a child or a family member and then something like this will pop up. You can print it out, laminate it, frame it, make it into a card, make it into a present and wrap it up as a gift if you’d like.
