This week we are learning about the letter Gg. To continue to reinforce the letter G and the sound it makes you can have children find and cut out all of the letter Gg’s in a newspaper or magazine. When they find and cut out the letters they can glue them onto either the uppercase G, lowercase g or they can even glue them onto both.
Make sure when you put out the newspapers or magazines that they pictures and words that the children will see (some may be able to read the words) are appropriate for them.

We have been learning about how Samuel listened to God when God called him. For Worship today we are going to make some “Listening Ears.” You will need a paper plate cut in half. You will need a pipe cleaner taped to the back of the paper plates. You will also need some ears that you can find on Google or the children can draw their own ears. The children can draw or color the ears and then glue them to the paper plates. Have children do as much as they can for this project.
Once children put together their listening ears (similar to the picture provided) they can put the pipe cleaner onto their head and wear around their listening to God ears.

Today we are going to make Police or Sheriff Badges. You can use this sheriff badge pattern to cut the badge out of construction paper. Then you can have out stickers, stamps, markers and anything else that is small for children to decorate their badge with. You can use a safety pin or some tape to attach it to the child’s shirt so they look like a police officer.
