Discuss what recycling is and what kinds of things you can recycle. Explain to the children that recycling means taking materials that have been thrown away and making a new item from them. Tell the children that all kinds of materials can be recycled like paper, glass, cardboard, aluminum cans, and even plastic bottles. From these old items new things can be made from them like playground equipment, water bottles and even skyscrapers.
