Learn about the letter A with Miss Cullen and Gator. First Miss Cullen and Gator are going to show the upper and lower case letter A. Then review the sound of the A. Next look at three types of food that start with the letter A: apple, avocado and almond. If you have these items at home you can try them with Miss Cullen and discuss what it looks like, feels like, tastes like, sounds like and smells like.
Remember, when trying the different foods, it has to go in your mouth but it doesn’t have to stay there. But it is always good to try something new.

On an orange piece of construction paper draw a circle. You can use the lid of a container to trace to make your circle. Next, let your child cut out their circle. Have them cut the very best they can; it’s okay if it isn’t a perfect circle. Next, the children are going to make their sun rays. On a piece of paper draw a triangle. Then fold the paper multiple times, to make many triangles. Once, you cut out the triangles have your child color their sun rays in any color they like. When the children are done coloring their rays have the child tape their sun rays to the circle to make their sun.
